The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies?

Yesterday I stumbled across a recipe that claimed to be for the best chocolate chip cookies... I couldn't resist trying it out.

Makes 30 cookies
Ingredients:
240g unsalted butter
150g granulated sugar
150g brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
480g plain flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
340g dark chocolate, chopped into pieces

(Preheat oven to 180 and grease two baking sheets and line with grease-proof paper)
1. Cream butter and both sugars until smooth.
2. Add the vanilla and both eggs, mix until combined.
3. Sift the flour and bicarbonate of soda into the mixture, mix until combined.
4. Add the chocolate and mix until combined.
5. Roll the mixture into gold ball sized pieces and place well spaced on prepared trays.
6. Cook at 180 for 10-15 minuets, until golden.

You can also add sea salt if you wish, just sprinkle a small amount over the cookies before you cook them. We used sea salt flakes for this and loved it. I would say maybe try it out on a few before doing all of them salted, just in case you dont like it.

The verdict- I wouldn't say they were the BEST cookies in the world, personally Im more of a triple chocolate girl, but Im not complaining, they are very nice!

What is great is how easy the recipe is, especially if you have a big food processor because then you just 'bung' everything in, even the boyfriend didn't complain about having to help!
